Quick Reminder, Remember to back up your COD profile - maybe on a separate Hard drive or even a Flash Drive here is the path in Win 7

C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

copy the Profiles folder to your flash drive and that will save your player name and weapons that you have built up and I think it may even save your key binds

or you can do what I do and back up and restore fast and easy this is now done with ease

I use Acronis True Image WD Edition - Free ver. look on the WD website as it is free for Western Digital hard drives and just does a Ghost - (old term for making a exact copy of a whole HD) but really it's an Image from one HD - to the other hard drive,

if you have other brands and a fresh install you could do this still and can be accomplished by using Acronis True Image full version with any hard drive

I like WD Black ver. drives for gaming so that is what I stick too, but some of you may like others?

In the players profile, it has an mpdata and a config_mp.cfg

The mpdata is your multiplayer data, which stores your stats, kills/deaths, experience, level, and weapons. Mainly the stuff you've earned on the multiplayer portion of the game.

The config_mp.cfg is what your graphic settings are as well as multiplayer controls.

Thank You Nevar for that info - glad you posted that, as allot of people may not be familiar with saving there game files, I always back up my whole HD as before mentioned
