If anyone has an interest in Battlefield 3, they're giving away the base game for free for now on Origin (EA's version of steam). The only downside is having to download and make an account for origin to access it, but a free game's a free game, right? Unless you end up buying DLC or extras for it.
For those with weak computers, such as myself, it might not be worth it to fully download. My understanding is you can click download then cancel it and you'll link it to your account forever, for if you ever get a computer that can run it.
