I did not perm ban his last Guid for cheating I banned it for killing our servers. If he continues to do this his other keys will be banned as well so let him know to tone it down.
lil-bug at it again kicking people without warning. If he wanted me to tone down my gaming he could have asked. No one left during the half the map I was there, and only one person had called hacks on me. Just once. Please fix your administrators Crow. I've read the other threads about kicking without warning but this time it was just sad. "Sits in spectator, connects to rcon, waits a little while, and then temp bans." Thats some real professional stuff there. I had my laugh though :p Just tell me. It takes no more than 10 seconds to type in chat or in console what has to be said. Eh me asking for you (Crow) to fix your admins was rude and I apologize. Only reason I don't fix it is because Im too lazy to do so :c.

Blackinese, come on, you know the deal. You shouldn't expect to have to be told again and again to tone it down. You are a good player with an excellent computer and that's a difficult combination for most of us to compete with. We'd like to have you in our server because you challenge us; but, I think you would have to agree that it's not fun or fair to the rest of us when you come in and stomp all over everybody. I feel that you have an advantage, with your high end computer and that's part of the reason your so good. Most people don't have that advantage or opportunity to develop those kinds of skills like you have had. So, don't put others down. Those who help others will be remembered and those who are hurtful will be forgotten. You should know better than to do the psyc101 power trip. It shows immaturity and lack of education. I know you can do better than that. While you are in college, I highly recommend you take at least one class in logic, it's quite an eye opener. I think you'd really enjoy it. I did!

Its called yitch config. Yes it may not be "hacking" in the general sense because Punkbuster cannot detect nor kick for it. This is why groups like PBBans developed to police with screenshots and streaming. Just food for thought. My clan =MTC= was a member of PBBans and I was a screenshot reviewer for bans. I had the opportunity to catch many of my own folks doing this and ended up having to remove them from the clan and in the end shut the COD4 servers down.
Like I said, you make the decision. Is it fair play. Its my opinion that, just like glitching in Pipeline. It is NOT fair gameplay.
is the yitch cfg not aloud now? lol.. its a fps cfg for people with bad computers that cant get a reasonable amount fps with the defult settings. also, pb doesnt kick for it because its NOT cheating its just graphics settings. cod4 is a first person shooter.. and on pc they're never fair, somebody always has a advantage, could be higher framerate, cfg or graphics settigns, a better screen, better headset.. etc.. the only way your gonna get the game fair would be to play lan with the same gear and the same graphics settings. also the first video looks ok to me, yeah you couldnt see the first and third guy but he used a movie cfg when recording over the demo, also they could have been called out.. and the second video.. i dont see the relevance in it? its not like a cfg gives a player more 'skillz' just makes it alot easier to see players, i'll bet at least 50% of the people reading this have done some messing around with their configs.. if you havnt id recommend getting started soon.. cuz playing on defult settings because its 'fair' is (excuse my language but) its fucking retarded.

I don't ban for cfg setting modifications just as long as everyone who plays can easily do it and promod or punkbuster allows it to be fair. If someone is running scripts to make semi fire weapons auto etc then they will be banned but to configure the game to run smoother and match the hardware in your computer not a problem here. I drag race as a hobby and the person usually with the most money, experience in tuning and equipment usually wins the race. Pretty much the same situation with online gaming. Thanks for bringing this topic up though it has produced a ton of debate.
Another thing, along with what ser1ous spoke about, configs are their to be modified, I, modified my config ALOT and as a result, i feel that I can play smoother and with better graphics. It has nothing to do with 3rd party software to provide an edge in-game, since anyone can change their config to begin with. However, I dissaprove of the use of scripts since it combines more than one key combination in one click and provides an unfair edge over the other players. But things that others can do without the use of software I find fair and not a cheat. And as serious said, the movie config was placed over that demo to record it and was played in a promod 5v5 s&d scrim, where call-outs and tactical playing is needed. And this is an example of me playing upon this so called "level"
or saying that this is a hack, which its obviously not.

i get blackinese, he's a competitive person, i just don't think it's in his nature to tone it down. ive seen him pleading his case in another server. hes just to good for 1.0, stick to promod. if you can compete there, then why would you go to 1.0...... ever? that's like beating up on grade schoolers. Just my opion though.

These pro level , high end computer users are welcome to play here but if they start abusing people and killing the server population I will kick or temp ban them. We exist to promote fun, fair gameplay where all ages can relax and enjoy themselves not get raged.
I play competitive promod against europeans and I find it enjoyable but I also like to relax and find it a good ease to not try so hard against 1.0 players. That's just my 2 cents.
I am so confused, REQ (aka blackinese) Is horrible at cod4. You constantly have wallhackers in there and nobody deals with them, and they clean out your server faster than a "pro" player.
Not trying to start a Peeing contest ... but i strongly disagree. I think Blackinese is a good player ( as I have played with him pretty often ) and I very rarely see any hacking that isn't dealt with swiftly. Perhaps in times past that was the case but certainly not now.
I now return you to your game already in progress ...

Come on, there is what is just and there is BS, PERIOD.
In different words than Terminator, only if everyone used the same equipment (periferals included) at a lan party, with a fresh install of COD4 on exactly the same machines would we be sure about who is really skilled and who is of lesser caliber a player.
When COD4 came out in 2007, everyone was scrambling to buy a new pc just to be able to play this new and fabulous photorealistic game.
I play all my games with ALL the eye candy on at 1080x1920 because thats what i built my pc for.
Cleaning up the graphics with config changes makes it somewhat easier to spot enemies but when you get used to it, you're not as good at LAN gaming like when my friends come over to play, besides they think it's like cheating so we decided to all play full res.
Ragnar, unless your screen is anorexic, it's 1920x1080 not the other way around. Now on about configs. A config, or configuration, is a mandatory game file that saves all of your settings including; Brightness, gamertag, resolution, shaders, etc. You cannot play Call of Duty 4, or any game for that matter, without one.
If my brightness is higher than yours, am I cheating? NO!
Just because someone has different setting than you doesn't mean they have an advantage, PERIOD .
Your conclusion has to be the most single minded thing I have ever heard anyone jump to. Life isn't fair, just because someone has a better computer or can run a game better doesn't mean anything. I have seen all kinds of people play on all kinds of systems and play just as well or better than another person with a crappier pc.
As a matter of fact, only SOME competitions force you to use their hardware, and the ones that do make everyone use the same computer build allow you to bring your own mouse and keyboard, and to tweak your configuration settings to your liking before you play.

First of all there is no need to be putting me down just because i put 1080 instead of 1920 first. It seems everyone except you understood what i was saying.
Secondly, when i said config i meant in-console config, as in for example eliminating some visuals thus allowing you to see your opponents more easily. Not just brightness which... you obviously need more of because you failed to read between the lines and realize what i meant was that in a perfect world that's the way it should be.
Thirdly i didn't mention anything about playing better or worse on a better machine because i know only misinformed ppl like yourself believe they can improve their game with a better pc or faster video card. The only way that happens is when the pc in question can not run a game with min fps of 60.
I don't know where you come from but almost all serious top level gaming is done with IDENTICAL equipment.
All serious competition gaming is NEVER done through the internet because all players must have amap identical ping. LAN is always used.
In a boxing match, where both fighters must wear the same weight gloves you are saying that it doesn't matter that one fighter uses a lighter glove with steel spikes in it...

It's just another way to enter different graphical settings and settings that you can tweak for better performance/eye candy in your game.. It just gives more in-depth commands if you want to tweak it more than just the options setting that you can modify at the in-game menu. Honestly, the developers put the commands there for a reason. Each one has a specific purpose whether it is a minimal one or major fps giver like "r_drawdecals 0". There are other commands that are purely server side that begin with "sv_". "cl_" represents the client.. so forth and so on. It's 100% not cheating unless you exploit a config in a certain way to execute a script or macro.. other than that its not.
